           Sandroses Vision & Mission

Sandroses vision is "to promote the Petroleum and Mineral Geosciences and work towards the cultivation of Human Resources in the Middle East".

Sandroses mission is to facilitate and promote transfer of technology and the development of human resources through industrial services, international service providers to work the Gulf countries.

Sandroses will help in promoting the projects and follow up on the communications between the research firms and oil industry.

Through Sandroses official registrations in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, communications become, smoothly between firms headquarter world wide and the Gulf area.

Sandroses organize forums and workshops to encourage technology transfer and technical exchange.

Sandroses can play a good role to bring together service companies and major oil and mining industry international societies such as AAPG, SEG, EAGE and local societies such as, Dhahran Geosciences Society, the Saudi Earth Science in Riyadh, the Exploration society of the UAE, the Geological Societies of Oman Bahrain, Kuwait, Yemen, Lebanon and Egypt.

Furthermore, Sandroses can help in collecting and disseminating information and knowledge.

Ibrahim Al Jallal has received his PhD from Imperial College, University Of London, and his MSc. in Geology from Western Michigan University, USA and his BSc in Geology and Chemistry from King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

He has served 25 years in Saudi Aramco in Petroleum Geology related work, worked as Geologist in several areas including: well site operations, fields' development, mapping, and reservoir predictions.  He has worked with Eprco Exxon research Centre in Houston. He has been keen in digitizing technology and worked since 1999 in core description digitizing and was awarded a patent in 2008 on core-voice recognition digitizing device with his colleagues.

Ibrahim’s PhD dissertation was in the Khuff Formation, its depositional environments, diagenesis, reservoir characteristics, log/facies relationship and reservoir prediction in Ghawar Field. He later extended the reservoir prediction studies of the Khuff to include Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Countries.

For two years, he leads a team of Sedimentologists, Palynologists, Stratigraphers and Geophysicists to develop the first subsurface fully integrated Geological study of the Jauf Formation, North of Ghawar area and was the principal author of its report.

He has held several management positions, at Saudi Aramco, the last two positions were the Chief Geologist of Southern area fields, including Ghawar field, and the Chief Geologist of Geological Research & Development in Saudi Aramco.

Ibrahim initiated the GEO 94 while he was the president of the Dhahran Geosciences Society (DGS) in 1991. He represented Saudi Aramco in the ADIPEC for several years.

He organized a forum on reservoir prediction of carbonate rocks in 2004, during the GEO 2004.

He organized the first focused regional Khuff workshop in the region in 2007 and the Paleozoic Clastic Gas Reservoirs workshop addressing the challenges of their predictions and tight gas in the Gulf, 2009, both workshops had core displays, posters and oral presentations.

Ibrahim was awarded in 2012 the AAPG honorary membership award to his contribution to the Petroleum Geoscience Industry.

Ibrahim has done several consultancies jobs and recently joined the board of Makamin Holding and selected to be the Managing Director of the company for Oil and Gas Services for 1.5 years (5/2015-12/2016) during its financial difficult times, operations crisis and saved the company from collapse.
